We booked Jim Davidson last year and wondered how another comedian would be able to follow such a name. Lester Crabtree is The Best Comedian I have ever seen in over eight years at these barracks.

On behalf of the committee from the BDLVA a huge Thank You to Lester Crabtree for the fantastic nights entertainment at our 5oth Anniversary Banquet & Ball. The evening was a huge success and you played a big part of that! Everyone thoroughly enjoyed the music and especially enjoyed the comedian! It’s really hard to please everyone especially as we cater for all ages, but you certainly managed to give everyone a good laugh! It’s really good to get feedback from our guests and I’ve heard your jokes again over and over and Kenny (The Doc from back to the future!) has a new name! ha ha.

People keep asking me who you are and where you are from so I hope you don’t mind but I will forward your information.

Just wanted to say a huge thank you for entertaining our staff on Friday at Loughborough University.

I was slightly concerned to book someone that I knew nothing about but I needn’t have been. You had the whole audience in the palm of your hands – we laughed from the minute you came on and it was hysterical when you picked on the people I asked you to beforehand.

Our staff who attended the conference are still talking about your performance and I would have no hesitation whatsoever in recommending you.

Lester was here in May, back by public demand and what a performance he gave, all the jokes new and not repeated from last times show, a real gent, couldn't get him off stage he would have stayed all night if we had let him. Took time again after his spot to mingle with the audience, its no wonder he gets such rave reviews, an honest and true professional performer. If,as a man, I could pick a friend, Lester would be it, a lovely thoughtful man.

I can't record enough plaudits for the show, marvellous, superb, breath-taking and lots more besides

Thank you for all your help in organising our first showcase at Baddeley Green, Stoke on Trent on Friday 16th April 2004. You put us in touch with Lester Crabtree (Comedian) and Gerry Grant (Roy Orbison), to say the show was great would be an understatement.

Lester was out of this world and had the audience in the palm of his hand during his entertaining act. He is a must for any function, brilliant. Gerry Grant was superb, if you looked away you would think the great man was there himself, what made it even more spooky was the fact that Gerry actually looks like Roy Orbison. I personally have known Gerry for over 30 years and he is still mesmerising. Both acts were at a very competitive and affordable price. We made a profit and could have sold ten times the tickets we did. The demand for tickets was phenomenal bearing in mind our club comfortably seats 400 people.

This is our first venture into showcase show's and we will be using your orginisation again shortly. On a final note would you pass on our regards and thanks to Lester for his contribution, hopefully we made him feel welcome. He had time after his spot to talk to the audience on a one to one basis which our members appreciated, a real gentleman. He said he liked our club, I know we liked him.

This letter is to let you know how much everybody who attended our Summer Ball, enjoyed the evening's entertainment.

From that day to this, people have not stopped congratulating the committee on a very successful night. The comedian LESTER CRABTREE was absolutely fantastic. His jokes and gags had never been heard before and nobody dared to talk or move in case he picked on them. Some people had stomach-ache the next day from laughing so much. I would highly recommend him to any committee thinking of hiring a comedian.
